Hey everyone!
Here’s project 6:
The goal was to use Blender’s new rendering engine, Cycles, for a compositing project.
Here’s the breakdown!
There are some things I’d change if I was to redo the project, but, overall, I’m fairly satisfied with it!
Also, if you’d prefer to view it on BlenderArtists, here’s the post there:

Looks good!!!!! I can’t wait!…. the last part in the rain… looked fake…. maybe that is the why you wanted it…. but I did not like it
lol but it looks good!!
Thanks!
Yes – the last shot was supposed to be surreal…sort of like his world is falling apart (hence nothing but the clouds) Haha, I suppose I can’t please everyone though!
I appreciate the feedback!
Ok, cool! I was guessing that was what you where shooting for

loved the video…Too too much text for a short film though. All in all thumbs up. When are you making the rest of the movie?
Hey thanks for the feedback!
This was in the style of a movie trailer, but it’s a fake movie trailer. There will never be an actual movie haha.
You can get vector motion blur if you make a full copy of scene and render vector pass in BI and then use that as a vector input in compositor.
Great stuff, very interesting breakdown. Thanks!!!
Fantastic work!
A huge thanks for the breakdown, very inspiring to see the steps and parts like that.
Your Cycles seem to render things pretty fast, are you using GPU?
Looking forward to see more of your stuff
Cheers
Thanks!
I’m running an nVidia GeForce 560 gtx for GPU rendering
thank you for this awesomeness !!
Love your work. Thanks so much for breakin down the Blender VFX pipeline for us. You the man. Have a great quarter in school blowin’ everyone away.
